I'm really glad I had my get home back with me.

Last week when we had that really cold and nasty snow storm I had to take my Mother to Dialysis. We were under a level 1 Emergency which made it illegal for anybody to be on the roads unless you had a medical emergency. I would normally never drive in these conditions but I didn't have a choice. I ventured out with all my get home preps. I was really glad to have my get home bag. By the time I got home the temp had dropped to -18 bellow. I'm not sure what I would have done if I had gone in the ditch in those conditions without my get home bag.

This video shows what I took with me and conditions that I was driving in.

We had it snow so bad here (10 years ago...), I chained up all 4 tires and went for a ride. It was soooo deep, me and maybe two other vehicles were out... I never saw a cop, taxi, etc..

AND... if they did want to pull me over, Id do so in the deepest snow drift I could find... just so LEO would have to struggle to get to me. :-)
