Simple plans for a Rain Barrel

I have been thinking about starting a small water collection point for a small garden this spring and a 55 gallon drum would fit the bill. The simple instructions can be located at http://www.epa.gov/region3/p2/make-rainbarrel.pdf. Funny thing is that it's from a Federal Government agency considering some states regulations on collecting rain water. Anyway, I honestly thought it would be a little more complicated than what was listed. Hope this can help someone else just starting.

Thank you for the info. Living alone on a small plot in the country, I would like to know if there is anyway one could disguise a water caption unit in a flower bed! I would not want marauders to spot a barrel on my terrace and camp out for a few days to replenish their stocks and also make away with whatever else I may have hidden around my house and garden.
