We have been in the 60s last two days and expecting snow or ice tonight and tomorrow. Temps down to the teens. Glad I havent planted anything yet.
My taters and onions ought to make it, the potatoes aren't above ground yet, my strawberry towers are covered in 2 layers of burlap, my blueberries are budding out, so they've got black contractor bag tents on them right now. My 3 in 1 pear tree has little leaves, and my peaches, plums, and the 5 in 1 fruit cocktail tree was about to bud out but wasn't as far along as the pears. Mama is gonna be mad if she doesn't get fruit this year.

My blueberries and fruit trees have budded, but havent began to open yet. Its only suppose to get down to low 20s tonight. Very little ice today here so I think we are good.
Still looking at 6-8" of snow on the ground here, although it is warming up, we finally saw 35 degrees yesterday!

That ice and snow the other day was about 1/2" or so of ice with 1"-2" of snow on top.
Gone by noon the next day. More ice that night, not enough to see or notice.
Right now, we're having a nor'easter, sort of a weaker winter hurricane. Lots of wind and rain.
Been cooped up all week in the house with bronchitis, and apparently, tachycardia.
Fun times.
