    Building new shooting bench

Been using a POS bench for a while now and got tired of it. I am pouring a 4 inch thick concrete top on this one. Also going to be building a custom seat that will be adjustable. Not sure how I am going to pull that off just yet, but have some ideas.

Got wood under it so I can pour the concrete. The wood will be removed after the concrete dries. Just have to put up the forms now and pour it tomorrow.

1000 lbs of concrete later and it is done. Just need to pull off the boards and build a chair.

You could find an older type office chair maybe and work it to your satisfaction.

Thinking of building a base and having a bench type seat that is adjustable for height. Just not sure exactly how to pull it off.

Was thinking of a adjustable jack stand until you said bench seat. Will go back to configuring.

That is what I am thinking, the front of the bench could be on a hinge, and the back could go up and down.

Got the forms off, but the sides are a bit rough. I am going to put some mortar there to smooth it out. Here is a pic.

Hell of a bench. Heavy enough to do the trick. How do you plan on placing it in its final resting spot.
