Winter Haven police are investigating a shooting death at a home on Lake Marianna Drive, and it appears it was done in self-defense.
Investigators are still at the scene gathering details, but we're told it happened around 7 a.m. this morning.

I just like the "homeowner(s) shoot burglar" part of it. I mean, how do you stare down multiple guns after someone fires at you, and still hang around? I'm thinkin somebody was on the drugs, as my grandma used to say.
