for the most part, yeah, if you carry a saw or a hatchet. but to cut through the ribs (either side of sternum to open chest cavity) a big knife makes short work of it. Personally I hate farting around with a saw.

sure, i carry 2 in the toolbox on the truck both Estwings E24A and E45A. polished and shaving sharp. i don't care much for fooling around with it either. do it, be done and off to something else.
