There are kits you can buy online that you put onto dead logs, don't know how expensive they are though.
    I apologize for nothing...

Was picking papanke yesterday, and came across a clump of these:

If you go back to the fist few picks, it looks like my beloved papanke...

    But it isn't!
Flip them over and you see the difference. There is a true papanke on the left showing the underside for comparisons:

I don't remember what the imposters are called, but I know that they are a sure fire trip to the stomach pump.

Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

If you're going to fight, then fight like you're the third monkey on the ramp into Noah's arc... and brother, it's starting to rain.

Another pile of mushrooms... look closely:

notice the two in the front? Different colour and shape/size of the gills. That's two 'bad' mushrooms mixed in with my papanke's. Probably not enough to get sick on, but that is why I always double check each mushroom before processing or eating.

Everyone should recognize these, standard white button that you would buy at the store:

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    More to identify:

I've never seen anything like this before:

I know we used to pick these when I was a kid, but not from this area, so I want to double check:

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

Mushroom season will be starting soon. can't wait to get out looking for morels! If successful, going to try this:

    skip to about 5 minutes...
Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!
