I want to thank everyone who offered their kind words of encouragement during this time, but I have to apologize to every one here. For it was all a lie, not on my part to all of you, but by my stepdaughter who lied to me. She lied to me about everything that had happened to her that day, and has been apparently been lieing to me for many years. The day I went up to the jail, I went up there to bail out a member of my family. Someone who I loved and cared for deeply, someone who I called my daughter, and in turn called me Dad. Someone who I let into my home and has lived under my roof for over a year. Someone who I took care of by never asking for any money, while she enjoyed all of the benefits of not having to pay rent, electric, phone, water, food, or any kind of financial payment. She was to live with us to save her money, so in a few months she would be able to have her own place, and to be able to live a better life for herself. But instead, she chose to think only of herself, and to lie and steal from those of us who tried to take care of her. When she was arrested, it wasn't a "mistake" as she put it, it was for check forgery, something she has already been arrested and spent time in jail for. But I trusted her, again, for about the millionth time. I thought when she said "thanks Dad", and "I love you Dad", maybe she meant it. But no, it was just a lie, a lie like all of the others. So, to everyone who has sent me your kind words of encouragement for her, I'm sorry. For it all was a lie.
