    We brought in a handful of those rods to try at work. And the bottom line was that they were more trouble than they were worth.

    before the pack was empty, all the guys switched back to one of these:

    easiest to use, and next to no prepwork! best of all, nice clean small welds. those rods are thick! unless you're filling holes, or doing 1/4" you end up with gops of weld.

    Our best hand with TIG, was the first to go back to wirefeed!

    I do like the idea of using aluminum though... with a buffing compound, it can have a mirror finish!
