alright guys, after some consideration and with the nudging from a custom knife maker i trade with. i am going to start doing Kydex. going to start small, knife sheaths, multi-tool holders (ie Leatherman/SOG/Gerber) some holsters, mag carriers and a few other goodies.
i put together the proper tools do do it right. i will take a few teaser shots in a day or two.
help me think of something for this months Give Away! be thinking of your orders as well.

as you know i have assess to woodshop. so i built my own. it's my take on a youtube video i watched. made from 3/4" BC grade ply, 2x4 yellow pine, 5/16" stove bolts, 5/16" lags, 2 heavy duty hinges and an extra piece of 1/4" BC as a removable spacer. and a shaker can of Minwax Poly-something or other. the 1/4" is for/if in need better definition/pressure. it's cut the same size as the base, so there is no movement. it's a one off deal. if i need to do bigger things, i will have to build a second one.

I'll be interested to see what the results are like with the hinged press, they don't always apply equal pressure front to back because there is more movement in the front than the hinged rear area, but some knife sheath guys use them to great success, I'd love to see if this design overcomes the pressure issues.
