    Oil field is getting worse.

    So many people are loosing jobs right now. Boats are tied up, rigs are being stacked, and our helicopters are barely flying. Hoping I can keep my job. We used to have way over 100 helicopters flying, now we only have about 20, and are going to be parking some more next month. Oil companies are filling bankruptcy like crazy. Hope this does not last to much longer.

    Yeah, it is getting really bad. 3 of our customers are filling bankruptcy in July. That means at least 4 more aircraft are getting parked. Our CEO said July is going to be when it starts getting really bad.

    Sorry to hear this Helo. Any more it seems what helps one segment of the economy, hurts another. Low gas prices have freed up funds for folks, at the detrement of the oil workers.

    problem is that our entire economy is oil based. Everyone will feel this eventually.

    Finding this news kind of surprising since gas prices are back on the rise again. $2.18 a gallon for regular unleaded.

    Many oil companies will be filing chapter 11 in July. The ones that do survive will be very cautious for a very long time. This is the worst I have ever seen and I been working in this field for 20 years.
