Sorry to hear that your position might be unstable due to the current situation. I hope you will be able to hold what you have.

Man I sure hope it picks up. I have a lot of friends and family in the oilfield here in Tx that have lost their jobs and from what everybody says it's worse in Louisiana and around the coast in southern Alabama.

Yeah, seems to get worse every day. Yesterday we only had 7 aircraft fly, out of 28 at my base.

Yeah but how low can they go? Oil is still FINITE. After all these years and demand doing nothing but getting greater, don't they see any emptying wells?
And I am sure hoping that the cautious companies over here in the States are doing a decent job of mothballing their equipment carefully. Saudi will eventually run out, and they'll be stuck with gold and sand to eat. This country and others will still need oil, and closed/capped wells will save a buncha bucks on the prospecting side; knock the caps off and pump like a motha. And I do not doubt someone already has involved and sophisticated plans laid down to be running a pipeline between the top of the Alaska Pipeline and the ANWAR.
I do not doubt that the Canadians have been quite careful about shutting down their sands. they are a prudent bunch, and I wager that they will, in the interim, be working out ways to extract without all that water, and at a lower price.
