Finally pulled the trigger, now what antenna?

Picked this little guy up, still need to get my cert, but at least I can be a fly on the wall.
What antenna for an apartment dweller/weekend camper?

Its a tri band.. are you running any two, one or all three bands? That will make a difference..
In our area, we have 220 repeaters but zero air time.
You can get a nice dual band VHF/UHF antenna off ebay for not too much money, and toss in a pigtail adapter to the SMA on your radio.
Tell us more, we may be able to narrow it down more.

I'm planning on 2m and/or 70cm as far as receiving goes.

Do you plan on transmitting??

Not for now, need to take my test at some point, just finally taking the plunge to start with getting familiar with things.

That's a good little radio. Look for a high gain dual band antenna 2m/70cm. Then if you want 220 look for something specific.
It should serve u well.
