    I'm not sure this is the right area for this. If not, Mods will one of you relocate it for me.

    I found this You tube vid and thought it was quite interesting. It could well be useful in the future and could well fit in ones outdoor cooking now.

    The guy who put up the video has lots of other vids on various topics, but mainly centered on food, that are in the time frame of the 1800's. I subscribed to take a look at some others.

    That would be more my take. I guess you could make it real thick and it would stand up to the weather real good. I would like to have something like this up north at my property. I have a great flat rock which would work well for the base. I wonder if the inside would be need to be lined with fire brick? I would do fire brink on the bottom.

    Don't see why concete wouldn't work. Fire brick couldn't hurt.

    One of my customers has one of these. His is under a 2nd floor deck so it's relatively weather tight under there, but his seems like it's coated in stucco and painted or concrete stained.
    Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

    Man I went off into brick oven pizza smoker land after that video! Shit dude, I got all this hickory I split and some fire brick and some red brick, and..........and....... all this other shit I gotta do. But damn I just get hungry with all this stuff Bacpacker! No Fair Bro!
