That Snipper is quite the chef. He threw together what ever he could find in the refrigerator and came up with a pre-course soup, followed up with a rice dish with diced chicken, mushrooms, corn, and a few other surprises, a sautéed mixed vegetable stir fry of peppers, broccoli, and few other veggies. But his masterpiece was a delightful main dish of a sweet and sour meat with pineapple. I'm not sure what it was, but it was spectacular. I don't think it was chicken or beef. Not quite sure what the meat was.

While you were napping, brother surprised us all with his arrival, and dedication to dinner.

    Prost Brother!

Alas, I cannot. I have a package waiting for me at the border (new brakes for my truck), and must head home up the I29.

Too bad though, I would have loved to meet up with you James.

And then there was one. Domeguy took off last night on his journey home. Sadly, wdidn't get out for our second fishing trip as the weather was not conducive.

Still good times. Really nice meeting you, and looking forward to additional adventures in the future.

I headed out at 11pm, and caught the ferry across the lake at 1am. Bought off the ferry at about 6am, and drove down to Zeeland, MI to pick up the 50' radio tower I bought last month on eBay. Loaded it in the back of the truck, and headed south to central IL to visit with my sister. I had a great time visiting with you Sniper. I had a blast shooting with you and fatty in the early week. I got to go out on Lake Michigan, something I have never done before. I got to go salmon fishing for the first time, and as the newbee there, somehow I happened to catch the largest fish, a 15 1/2 lb king salmon. I tried to keep up with my new found friends, the Canadians, but these men are professional drinkers. I did my best though. This was a trip I will treasure forever. I wanted to thank you again Sniper for inviting me to tag along, and after meeting you in person, all I can say is somehow, I thought you would be taller.[IMG][/IMG]

You missed the best meal of the trip DG. I Seared that venison roast off in some olive oil, after rubbing it down with whatever I could find in the cupboards, then deglazed the pan with some brandy. laid a bed of celery carrots and onions and then added beer and orange juice,, and roasted it low and slow for 3 hours. Then I took a pound of bacon and made nice weave over top and back in the oven for another hour.

    yum yum.
