    Ice Fishing

    starting to do a little more of it, and thought we should have a dedicated thread for some pics, tricks, and techniques.

    If nothing else, we northerners can make them southerners jealous!

    Went out last weekend onto 'the big windy' aka Lake Winnipeg.

    Eight of us ended up fishing together, and we kept six walleye each, and let go at least that many again.
    The weather was unseasonally warm, so it was quite slushy on the ice, and that also caused some pretty heavy fog.

    where the snow was melted right down to bare ice, there was 4-8 inches of water on top, this is a pick out the window on our way out:

    c'mon Helo. put all them gym hours to use and man up! lol I'm pretty sure that Wallyworld here sells man-panties.

    btw, we keep the window's rolled down a little while travelling, to ensure escape for when/if the truck breaks through... but that only happens a few dozen times a year, it all is good!

    no problem bud, but I really don't consider sitting on the porch drinking beers to be work. I do appreciate the offer though. would love to take you up on it one day.
