Once again a late frost hammered most of my fruit trees. About the only thing that I got was chokecherries, which I made some nice Jelly with.

However, A buddy's kid just bought a property nearby, and believe it or not he actually has grapes growing. They've eaten their fill and he allowed me to pick some and I grabbed 10 pounds which I have reduced to juice, and tonight will turn into Jelly as well.

Next year I will take some clippings from his and try to get my own growing.

Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

If you're going to fight, then fight like you're the third monkey on the ramp into Noah's arc... and brother, it's starting to rain.

That is weird with the frost, in Norcal we have not had a problem. You mentioned apricots, we have not a had a one in over four years! I have to put in some new ones, I just can't figure it out. Apples, pears, almonds and nectarines all came in. We are looking at another big year for pomegranates.

So if it is predictable and preventable then you better prepare.
