    Greenworks electric lawn equipment

Just thought I would pass this along. Years ago we bought a 60 volt hedge trimmer, and it has been perfect even keeping up with miles of trails and driveways. At lowes a few months back I saw a string trimmer (display model) for 20 bucks so picked it up, it is also great for the smaller jobs like the area around my house, and chicken coop etc. Been wanting a chainsaw for a long time now (we have gas models for the big jobs) for the little jobs and for putting in the car when weather is bad. I saw one at the Dirt Cheap store for 5 bucks so picked it up. Got to use it today for clearing around the pond. It cut up about 5 ten inch pines, plus cleaned up all the little stuff around the 1 acre pond. Still had one bar left on the battery when I was done. Also picked up a new pole saw the other day and man I should have gotten this years ago, no more standing in the bucket of the tractor cutting limbs while the wife drives. It zips through the branches. None of the saws seems to bog down any more than a similar gas powered saw.

I believe “electric” is the way of the future. No more nasty gasoline fumes polluting the earth, causing spoiled Swedish girls to be chosen as “Person Of The Year”. Much more civilized.

Easy enough to charge from Solar as well, so relatively little operations cost.

I don't think they will ever replace gas for the big jobs, but for the smaller jobs they are great.
