Myself and Lunchbox use the Katadyn Hiker Pro water filter on our hiking/camping trips. It's light weight and easy to use, we have used it for a few years and have not had any issues with it. I would recommend this brand.

Well, the Vario showed up shortly after it was ordered. I won't get a chance to play with it for a while but will keep everybody posted.

I have the Katadyn Vario that I've picked up from someone from Cragislist, as well as the Katadyn Pocket that I've brought new first. They are both excellent water purifier. I would certainly recommend them to anyone.
