    Outdoor cooker

Been wanting one of these for a long time. Until the SHTF I am using it on a gas burner, but if I ever need to I have a stand built to use it over a open fire. Man i love cooking on this thing. Got it Friday, and cooked bacon in it first. It came pre-seasoned but wanted to season it a little more. So far we have cooked fresh yard eggs, bacon, chicken tortillas, and wild hog tomales (spelling).

Sweet! Like a huge Wok. What size is that thing, 20"?

I just ordered a dutch oven with legs and lid w/rim and a 13" skillet Friday.

It is made from a plow disk, and is 24" across. The cooking area is 27".

Holy crap. What did you use to close up the hole for the axle shaft?

nice... if it what I'm thinking... it comes as a spun disk with a mark to be drilled for whatever sized shaft you have.

I travel with a wok, everywhere! it is the most versitile camp cooker there is!

    IMO

a block of wood orr a couple rocks to stabilize... good to go. My wife makes the most amazing fresh blueberry pancakes in the wok over an open fire.

I think that next time at the farmer supply, I'll look at them real good a second time

If you have a steel MFG shop near you, contact them, as some may have the ability to spin steel into shapes like that. I've already had a new lid spun for my wok at my place. and I think I might have a 'large' wok spun now too.

    tx for the post!

I didn't I ordered this one complete. But you can order them without the hole for the shaft. I just didn't think it would save me any money by making it myself, so I just bought one ready to cook on.

Going to make a lid, out of another disk, but I want the one with the lid to have a hole. I can make a slider for the hole so I can close it off if I want to.
