Lost 2 chickens this week, and caught these two this afternoon. Not positive they did it, but they got the blame. Found one of the carcasses of my chicken and it was hole but picked clean. Wife wants to get them mounted, so they are in the freezer, not sure I want to spend 800 bucks on that.
I do love the LR-308 though, first kill with it.

Tan them hides! If you aren't going to, salt them and mail them to me and I will.
They are in the freezer, my wife wants to get them mounted. Not sure I want to spend that kind of money on it though.

Well mounting I can not do. But if you want to be walked through tanning them, just shoot me an email, its much easier than you might expect. As FYI, freezing the hides....really bad for the preservation of the hide itself hair on...which I would presume you want.
We freeze all the deer mounts before getting them to the taxidermist and they have been fine. Had one in the freezer for 2 years and it still had no issues. But might take you up on the offer on the tanning if we don't get them mounted. When they are tanned is the hide soft, or hard?Originally Posted by ravensgrove
