I'm considering this my physical test to my shtf preparedness regimen. Early bird registration is only 95.00 and it actually looks like a blast(not just the same grind through the event). Quite a number of events as well. Plus the money goes to a good cause.

The biggest bonus yet, imo, is its the perfect opportunity for a meet'n greet amongst preppers in local states.

Ours is earlier in the year, so I think I'll be more likely to do the 2013 event because I'm not likely to be ready for it in the few months I have. Not when its over the winter at least. I've been kinda planning on doing the Warrior Dash in July, which is roughly 1/3 of the length and not supposed to be as challenging. At least it'll break me into things. Just sucks it doesn't benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
