Do NOT mess with him while he's pumping gas.

Is it possible you're just a stop in his range? I've seen bears cover huge territories.
Common sense is so rare these days, it should be re-classified as a super power.

I know I am. When I tracked him for the first few days, I followed his 'route' for over 5 miles and he was still heading away. I talked to several neighbours who also had him in their yards. In my experience I've found that bears will repeat their route every 5-10 days, depending on how much they find to eat along the way.

I expected to see him again a few days ago, but my baits haven't been touched, I'll keep an eye out, as last time around he spent 2 days on my property, and this time with the extra food, I'm hoping to encourage at least the same.

If he has in fact moved on... then buh-bye! If not, then it is a matter of time before he stops by again, and hopefully does less damage next time, before I do more damage to him.
Give a man fire, and he'll be warm for a day!
Light a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

    Cat's are food... not friends!

If you're going to fight, then fight like you're the third monkey on the ramp into Noah's arc... and brother, it's starting to rain.
