Anyone see the Alex Cross movie yet?

DH and I went opening night. This is the movie son 1 worked on in Ohio and Detroit, before going to Atlanta. Don't care what the critics say. We thought it was pretty good but then we're biased LOL It actually was good.

I LOVE Alex Cross and collect all the books (haven't had time to read them all yet but I used to keep up with them...it's ok, I'll get around to them though). I love James Patterson anyway, he is awesome and I'm sure the movie is great. I will probably wait for the DVD and just buy it. We buy a lot of movies - that is our shtf plan for entertainment.
Congrats to son 1 and continued success!
    I apologize for nothing...

no, i don't go to the movies. in fact the last one i went to was Hoosiers with Dennis Hopper in 1986, took my lil' sister to see it. i do the DVD thing. then i can pause,(bathroom, snacks) rewind and watch it as many times as i want for the same price

but the previews for it look interesting. Besides i like Tyler Perry, Medea is the BOMB! funny and diverse actor/writer.

I almost never to go the theater, only for that rare have-to-see movie, less than once a year on average. But, we do the redbox thing frequently.

I too am a huge James Patterson/Alex Cross fan!

Your like my wife... The last movie that she "went to" was Titanic back in 1997. When I go out to Utah for see family/work I get my movie with quality sound, popcorn and M&M's fix in.

We go a few times a year but we just don't have time these days.
Love Pattersons other series as well. But I'm a murder/mystery/horror/suspense junky anyway so he fits me.

they built a brand new "state of the art" theater here last year and have no desire to go. i drove past it once just to know where it was. i have a big (big enough for me) LED? LCD? tv, surround sound, comfy couch can watch it at my leisure. nobody talking, making noise, pause for bathroom/snacks. and watch it as many times as i want for the price of the DVD.

besides that, i have a phobia of large crowds, not real bad, but bad enough i watch what people are doing. if that needs an explanation here it is. i used to work on the road as an Industrial Electrician. i have seen 2 people stabbed and 1 shot. the incidents happened on the street while we were going out to get supper. since then i have taken a more pro-active stance in my own well being.

I got as a present dinner and movie tickets from work for Assistants Day from the boss. Otherwise I'd have to wait till it went on TV before I could see it. Can't afford movie tickets anymore. Still have a pair of passes from last Christmas so I think when DH goes to South Dakota I'll be able to go to the movies by myself twice TEE HEE

We got to the matenee during the week (or even on weekends) and usually have the whole theater to ourselves. On a normal day there may be 4-5 other people there so we can deal with that. Pretty nice actually and the place is really updated and seats really comfy....only had one issue at a horror movie with a woman who decided to bring a 2 year old.
I really hate people who text since we sit in the back row and can see every phone screen which really makes us mad sometimes but for the most part people are good about not using them.
    I apologize for nothing...

Too bad there are those idjits out there. At least our theater in town has people that "escort" those that don't turn off their phones out of the theater so the rest of us can watch in peace. It's also the theaters security measure to avoid people pirating the movies.
