    Here Yogi, Yogi, Yogi...

As Shown in the picture thread, I got a bear hangin around my house being a bit of a pest. I have until Sunday to hunt him, or I'll have to get the CO's involved to authorize a culling of him.

It's a short time frame to pattern a bear, especially since I have to switch him from midnight feedings to daytime.

Tx Eagle. I'm sure the pics are deceiving, usually the coats are done by this time of year. Should be some nice meat though! Start refilling the freezer.

    X <-- fingers crossed

It is awesome!! But care must be taken to remove all the subcutaneous fat, as it is very greasy. Then cook it like pork. It's my wife's favourite wild meat.

Render that fat down into lard and you can make some of the flakiest pie crust you'll ever have! I'm with Sniper on this, bear is real good!

Without making one, the only place to get a trap is from the CO's, and they wont give me a trap to shoot it. They'll trap it and relocate it. If I don't get him by the end of the season, I'll have to involve them, and then it is up to them, what happens to him.

Never had bear but I'd try some. Hope you get it before season ends for your freezer. Can we maybe get a pair of boots out of that bear?

cut a good hole in a stump like 3 inches wide and 6 inches deep then put in reese pieces and sun flower seeds then drive a bunch of nails around edges of whole like through so they stick out good when the bear reaces in with his paw he will get stuck come out and shoot the bastard usually used for raccoons much smaller holes for raccoons bigger holes for bear paws works the same
